This year through our Calvary Cares Campaign, we are launching something called the Care Initiative. Each month there will be an opportunity to serve with various organizations and ministries in our area. This is one valuable way to step out of your comfort zone to show God’s love to our world. There are a variety of opportunities, but below we have the next three serving opportunities coming up. We hope you can join us as we make a difference in world by serving those in need!
On Saturday, May 20 we will be mobilizing various teams to go serve at homes of those in need within our church. Projects will include yard work and other small home projects! We believe that "We are blessed to be a blessing", and this is a great opportunity to bless those in need. We will be meeting that morning at 9:00am before we split off to go to the various locations.
The Care Initiative is a way that the people of Calvary can express God's love to those outside the walls of this church. Every month there will be an opportunity to serve at various organizations and ministries in the area. We will be serving alongside the Pittsburgh Dream Center for a work day and helping with an outreach they will be doing in the city of Pittsburgh.
On Saturday, July 15 we will be mobilizing all of Calvary to serve our community through what we call "The Big Serve". We believe that "We are blessed to be a blessing" and through "The Big Serve" we strive to bless the community around us. We have projects this year in Irwin and throughout North Huntingdon. Projects range from painting, to cleaning, to pulling weeds. There’s really something for all ages, kids included! This will be a great day for the entire family to get out and serve our community. Everyone that participates will get a free t-shirt and we’ll have a cookout following the morning of serving at the church for all our volunteers.
